Firearms

I've grown up around firearms since I was little. Growing up in rural America, firearms are part of life. I started shotting hunting rifles when I was 13.

It wasn't until the riots of 2020 that I, like thousands of Americans, purchased my first firearm. I didn't stop there, however. I went on to get my concealed carry license for North Carolina and purchase a handgun for everyday carry. My choice was an FN 509. A added a Holosun 507 with the ACSS reticle.

Part of responsible gun ownership is consistent training. While I can't go to the range every week, I utilize dry fire training. My tool of choice to assist with this is the Mantis X. This helps keep track of my movements while shooting and enforces good habits. Due to the over 3000 rounds of dry firing alone, I've had to replace the striker in my pistol.

Do to the number of rounds I do use every year, I decided to explore reloading to minimize my costs and not be reliant on the market for availability. I currently reload 9mm and 300 ACC Blackout. With primers being the main cause of shortages, I also recharge my spent primers. Both for small pistol and small rifle. I'm also able to make magnum versions of each. This is where a lot of my 3d prints are utilized is in this process.
